Wanted… Mediation Role Players

Interested in being a volunteer role player for a mediation role play?  MCDR will be holding a Certification process on Saturday afternoon, September 26th, 2:00PM by Zoom.  Participating as a role player is a way to observe how such an assessment process works. Role players are not required to be mediators, but it is helpful if you are. Volunteer role players would need to be available for approximately 3 hours on the day of the certification process. As a role player, you would be provided with a script and would participate in a scenario lasting approximately one hour; you would also be asked to provide your verbal feedback to the mediator about your experience as a role player.

If you are interested in volunteering as a role player for the certification process or if you would like additional information, contact, Ramona Buck at 443-418-0392 or Thom McCloud at 301-655-0349.  Additional information about MCDR’s mediator certification process or mediator feedback assessment days can be found at www.mcdr.org.

MCDR is the oldest membership-based organization in Maryland dedicated to promoting the use of mediation and supporting

the mediation profession.  We have a proud history of successfully advocating for allowing multiple professions to practice mediation,

halting attempts to restrict the practice some fifteen years ago.  MCDR is the first organization to establish performance based criteria

now in use as a national model, part of an ongoing dialogue on quality assurance and mediator credentials.
