About the Mediator
As a fee-only consulting firm for well over 25 years, Barry M. Weissman & Associates has been guiding clients through the financial aspects of life-changing events. Divorce & Family Mediation, including Estate & Inheritance and Business Succession offer a few examples of what the firm has worked on, helping people to successfully resolve. These issues tend to be intertwined, one difficult issue impacting at least one other. For example, how will a divorce effect a family business succession plan? Estate planning using life insurance and trusts? Valuations and the transfer of ownership in illiquid or minority shares. Regardless of how intertwined or overwhelming the issues have become, we are here to help.

A complete Statement of Fees can be found on my website.

Barry Weissman has read and, consistent with state law, will abide by the Maryland Standard of Conduct for Mediators during the mediation.

MCDR is the oldest membership-based organization in Maryland dedicated to promoting the use of mediation and supporting

the mediation profession.  We have a proud history of successfully advocating for allowing multiple professions to practice mediation,

halting attempts to restrict the practice some fifteen years ago.  MCDR is the first organization to establish performance based criteria

now in use as a national model, part of an ongoing dialogue on quality assurance and mediator credentials.
