About the Mediator
Edie established a family mediation practice drawing on her unique background and experience in providing specialized divorce support services to individuals who encountered all facets of separation and divorce, child centered issues, post divorce and pre-union issues. She possesses extensive financial skills acquired through years of experience in family law litigation support. In addition to private practice, she also mediates for the District of Columbia Superior Court Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Program - Family Division and Montgomery County, Maryland Circuit Court dispute resolution program. Her knowledge and expertise contributes to a superior ability to help parties identify and explore matters to be resolved and to facilitate their efforts to investigate problem solving options.
Believing that community service is an essential ingredient of a productive life, she continues to be an active volunteer with a number of community organizations including several mediation organizations and pro bono programs. In 2011, she served as Vice President of MCDR, also serving on the Board of Directors for several years. She has served as membership chair and for three very hard-working years, she co-chaired the Programs Committee. Together with her co-chair, planning all facets of what it took to provide outstanding in-person programs for the quarterly membership meetings. Edie maintains an enthusiastic involvement in mediation activities and continuing education programs.
