About the Mediator
Steve Forrer, Ph.D. Steve is on several Circuit and District Court mediator rosters. He has special training in Marital Property and Child Access. He is on the pre-trial and day-of-trial rosters for Maryland District Courts. Steve does in-person and Zoom mediation.
Steve has been actively consulting in the area of conflict resolution, leadership development, business acumen and organizational career development for over 35 years. Clients have included Boeing, British Petroleum, Glaxo-Welcome, Corning Inc., IRS, and United Technologies to name a few. Over the years his organization has trained over 500,000 employees and 100,000 managers in the skills required to ensure successful leadership and career development worldwide. He has written extensively on career development and leadership topics. He has consulted with multinational companies in China, Taiwan, Japan, Germany and UK. He has traveled extensively, recently visiting Tibet.
Steve was Dean and Vice Chancellor of University of Maryland University College where he acted as chief academic and administrative officer for all credit and non-credit programs. Steve is a private pilot, fly fishing enthusiast, and lives with his wife in Easton, MD. They have three grown daughters, seven grandchildren, and a yellow lab. Steve has B.A. from Gettysburg College, M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park and M.B.A. from George Washington University.
