How Do I Make a Living Doing Mediation?
Monday, April 9 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Both classes will be held at Tifereth Israel Synagogue on 16th St. NW in Washington,DC.  This location is about one mile from the Silver Spring metro and town center.

 

There are two modules, each is independent of the other. Participants can choose one or both.

 

Description:


This module provides an overview of how to conceptualize, form, and market a private ADR practice.  Through experiential learning, participants will learn tools for: (1) identifying their niche in the ADR market, (2) marketing their business through traditional methods, social media, and on-line arenas, and (3) building a support system for their endeavor that will enable them to continually improve their skills and sustain their energy when the road is bumpy.

About the Trainer:
Roz Zinner, LCSW-C has experience marketing her own practice, Divorce and Family Mediation Services, building websites, and starting Mediator Mentor, an individual mentoring program.  She has been mediating divorce/custody cases for eleven years.  In addition to being a family mediator, she is a clinical social worker with a private practice working with individuals .

Marketing Your Practice Using the Internet and Social Media

Facebook, Tweeting, Linked-In, Google.  It’s all so confusing; where do you start?  This module focuses in on application of your marketing plan via the internet and social media.  Learn the basics of where to start, what is important and what to ignore, as well as a few secrets about how to use new media to inform people about the services you offer.  About the Trainer:

Naomi Zinner, is a graduate in advertising from the Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse.  She is currently an account manager for Avon Company.  Prior to her current position, she worked at JDub, a not-for-profit organization, and at BBDO, a top advertising agency, where she was an account manager on various accounts including M&M’s and Orbitz.com.  Aside from working on TV and radio commercials, she has experience with branding, strategic communication, and non-traditional events.

Registrants for both workshops will be sent information regarding lunch.  Lunch will be provided for those who wish, or participants may go out for lunch.  Registrants may not bring food into the building due to kosher rules.
