Proposed Agreement Regarding Compensation
for Trainers and MCDR
MCDR originated the Master Class series to serve two functions:
(1) providing high-quality, continuing professional education and
(2) fundraising for MCDR.
Below is the proposed financial arrangement for 4 and 8 hour trainings.
Four Hour Trainings
Cost for Attenders: $75 for MCDR members and $125 for non-members
A 10 person minimum in order to offer a 4 hour training unless the trainer and MCDR agree otherwise for a particular training. $100 per hour for the trainer, with the rest for MCDR. Once the training income (less any rental cost) is $1,400 or above, then the income will be split 50/50 for the trainer and MCDR. The Grebe fund can be used for scholarships to assist people who can’t afford to pay for the training (scholarship requests go to Nancy Hirshman, MCDR).
Eight Hour Trainings
Cost for Attenders: $160, for MCDR members, including lunch; and $230, including lunch, for non-members
10 person minimum in order to offer the 8 hour training unless the trainer and MCDR agree otherwise for a particular training. $100 per hour for the trainer, with the rest for MCDR. Once the training income (less any rental cost) is $2800 or above, then the income would be split 50/50 for the trainer and MCDR. The Grebe fund can be used for scholarships to assist people who can't afford to pay for the training (scholarship requests go to Nancy Hirshman, MCDR).
