A SPECIAL LETTER TO OUR MEMBERSHIP
We are in the process of developing the MCDR slate for 2008. We seek people who want to raise their involvement to a new level by participating in our Board of Directors. This is a great opportunity to network, work with other people who share common goals, and to advance the field. If you are interested in taking a more active role in MCDR, please contact Ramona Buck at Ramona.Buck@courts.state.md.us or 410-841-2260 or 443-418-0392 (evenings and weekends) or Ruth Zanoni at ruthmediates@yahoo.com or 410-531-0007.
MCDR promotes and expands the use of the high quality Appropriate Dispute Resolution statewide by: · Promoting ADR and consumer education/marketing · Setting standards of practice and certification of members · Strengthening education/skills of practitioners · Eliciting commitment of practitioners to the field · Being a resource to practitioner and community (support and nurture)
MCDR will change the way disputes are resolved in Maryland. Our vision is a Maryland where all individuals use cooperative, non-adversarial approaches to resolve their disputes, a Maryland where cooperative, non-adversarial approaches to resolve conflict will be the first resort, not the last. MCDR helps practitioners grapple successfully with three seemingly disparate aspects of individual development: business, spiritual and professional. |
